Elvis Presley tribute act by Steve Ballard
"Elvis - That's the Way it Was" is a production show which is an affectionate and sincere tribute to Elvis Presley. Steve Ballard is a true Elvis fan and it is his huge respect for the man himself at the core of the show which comes over to audiences. This is reinforced by Steve's enormous talent made obvious by his rich Presley vocal impression which very few other Elvis impersonators in the world can come near to. His body language is identical to Elvis and he knows every note and nuance of the musical arrangements. Steve remains in character throughout the show and is supported by his tight, professional orchestra and backing singers and his American made costumes are the best to be seen anywhere.
All of this aids Steve in transporting an audience into believing they are really there with the original artist Steve has appeared all over the world as Elvis Presley and is in great demand.
The first half of the show is a representation of the 1968 show 'Elvis', now referred to as The '68 Special' or 'The '68 Comeback'. This show stands as one of the great television moments in rock music history and a stunningly brilliant milestone in Elvis Presley's career.
The second half is based on what is regarded as the second landmark TV special in Presley's many achievements - "That's the Way It Is" - a concert film of 1970 performances at the Hotel International, where the King knocked them dead in a white jumpsuit, shivered and shook to give the performance of a lifetime.
Sit back and enjoy this show - you will truly believe you were there - The Way it REALLY Was!
